 On Wednesday, 20 June 2018

If you love Seafood, you’ll go mad over these Chilli Garlic Prawns! The sauce is spicy, sweet and garlicky and I think you will be surprised how few ingredients it requires. And when you taste it you will be amazed what great depth of flavour it has! Along with a higher nutritious value, Prawns are filling and provide for a good dinner option. So, let's get started:

Ingredients:
1) Small Prawns/Shrimp (peeled and deveined)- 250 grams
2) Finely chopped Garlic and ginger- 15 grams
3) Broccoli-1 cup
4) Chilli Flakes- half a teaspoon
5) Black pepper powder- half a teaspoon
6) Small Onions- 1 cup
7) Apple cider vinegar- 1 Tablespoon
8) Soy sauce- 1 tablespoon
9) Sesame seeds (For garnishing)

Recipe:

1) Heat well-seasoned skillet or non stick pan over high heat.
2) Heat 20 grams of butter or Ghee to the pan.
3) Add Onions, ginger, garlic, chilli and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic.
4) Add the prawns and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, for 3-4 minutes or until the prawns are just cooked through.
5) Add broccoli, and cook, stirring frequently, until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
6) whisk together soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Sriracha, if using; set aside.
7) Add sauce into skillet and toss to coat prawns in sauce and reheat, and cook until the sauce thickens a bit more, mixing the ingredients with a light hand keeping in mind not to mush the prawns.
8) Remove skillet from stove to cool down slightly, and decrease stove to medium.
9) Garnish with sesame seeds, fresh chilli and shallots if desired. Serve with rice and habanero sauce!

This reci[pe is so versatile and you can pretty much use whatever lingering ingredient you have in your fridge. Happy cooking!
